Home Visits

Doctor's bag

Home visits are made when a patient is too ill to come to the surgery. These visits take up a great deal of time and so this practice restricts them to only very genuine cases at the discretion of a doctor.

To request a home visit please telephone the surgery (before 10:30 if possible). You will be asked for your (or the patient’s) name and date of birth, address, telephone number and reason for the visit. The doctor may wish to speak to you (or the patient) before visiting if any further information is necessary.

We provide home visits for patients who are normally housebound. Home visits are only available for patients who are housebound or seriously ill/disabled. Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit.
